We Love This Eufy Doorbell Camera at $160 and Now It’s Only $108

Eufy Doorbell Camera

This doorbell camera from Eufy is one of the best we’ve ever laid our hands on, and it’s currently available on Amazon with a huge discount from $159.99 to $107.99 when you use coupon code D2EUFYSD during checkout.

When we reviewed the Eufy Doorbell in October, we gave it a rating of 8/10 for having good video quality, enough storage for 30 days of recording, and no requirement for a cloud subscription to get all the features the device offers—a common hurdle when using rival cameras.

Eufy made such a strong impression that we actually named this doorbell camera the best overall option in a comparison that included the Google Nest Hello, Ring Video Doorbell 2, and the Ring Peephole Camera. Those aren’t exactly industry lightweights so Eufy must be doing something right.

Pricing played a big part in the initial impression this camera made on us, as the original retail rate of $160 undercut the next cheapest option we listed above by about $40. Now available for $107.99 with coupon code D2EUFYSD, the Eufy is more than $100 cheaper than the Nest Hello. And again, that’s a one time fee that doesn’t require any additional subscriptions for extra features. You get it all for $107.99.

Specifications include a video capture resolution of 2560 x 1920 with HDR and distortion correction technologies that boost image quality. The doorbell can respond in real-time when someone approaches your door. AI is used to detect the shapes of faces and bodies so you are alerted when a human is nearby (and not a squirrel or platypus). Then you can see who’s there and speak with the visitor through two-way audio. Bonus features include the ability to:

  • Define smart detection zones where the camera should look to detect motion.
  • View three seconds of footage prior to the alert you received for better insight.
  • Record and set up to three instant responses so you can hit that instead of talking.
  • Connect the doorbell to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for voice support.

The doorbell isn’t perfect, of course. It doesn’t have any ability to be run by battery power for instance and must be wired to your home. During testing, we also found that Eufy’s facial detection generates false positives and that the Nest Hub/Alexa integration is too slow to be useful. If those aren’t deal-breakers for you and you’ve been eyeing doorbell cameras, you probably won’t want to miss this deal.

eufy Security, Wi-Fi Video Doorbell with 2K HD, 2-way audio, No Monthly Fees (Requires Existing Doorbell Wires, 16-24 VAC, 30 VA or above)

Don’t want the cloud? The Eufy video doorbell doesn’t require it. It still gives you 2K video, motion zones, and basic facial recognition for less than the cost of a Nest Hello.
